Raze Regal & White Denim Inc Raze Regal & White Denim

Having met on tour in 2019 when Raze Regal’s Once and Future Band supported James Petralli’s White Denim, the duo began to collaborate during the 2020 lockdown in Austin, TX. The resulting album, born of significant challenges and changes in the key writers' lives, is a grooving Rock opus with a strong Jazz Fusion influence. Drawing on R&B, New Wave, and Psych, the ten tracks are warm and warming laid back but attentive, and bristle with texture and rhythm. ‘Complaining In Heaven’ swells with horns for its boisterous outro leading straight into an even more upbeat intro on ‘Don’t Laff’ that couples electric organ with horns on a double time groover, while the laid-back Funk of ‘Tivoli’ gives way to repeat snatches of an energetic guitar riff that teases throughout.
