Tension Kylie Minogue

Thanks to the smash-hit single ‘Padam Padam’ becoming one of the songs of the summer you may have noticed that Kylie is back. While the previous album ‘DISCO’ did what it said on the cover, ‘Tension’ is far too much of a good time to truly reflect its title. Built on Euro Pop, Dance and Electro Pop it’s no great leap for Kylie, instead doubling down on what she does best. Packed with songs of love, lust and good times backed by sturdy, expansive beats and centred on Kylie’s sweet, high sheen Pop vocals, it’s an album of instinctively catchy melodies and immediate choruses. While ‘Hands’ dips into R&B and ‘Vegas High’ is radio-ready EDM Pop, the highlight is undoubtedly the bubbling electronics of ‘Padam Padam’ and its chorus of lustful intimacy.
