Mid Air Romy

The debut from Romy Madley Croft, best known as singer and guitarist from The XX, kicks off with ‘Loveher’, a collaboration with producer Fred Again… that was originally written for another artist before Romy suggested she took it on herself. A buoyant, dancefloor-friendly celebration of queer love, it is the ideal opener for an album of upbeat Dance that celebrates the euphoria of Pop leaning Trance and House. Alongside Fred Again… Romy is joined by Jamie XX on ‘Enjoy Your Life’, while Stuart Price lends a Pop ear across the album. Album closer, ‘She’s On My Mind’ is another technicolour, hands-in-the-air celebration of love crafted with the assistance of Avalon Emerson. Alongside the slick production, Romy’s vocals lead the joyful arc of the album, ensuring it never flags.
