Love Hallucination Jessy Lanza

The latest from Jessy Lanza is an explosion of comforting, upbeat vibes filled with personal depth. Tackling love and the strength of the individual, ‘Love Hallucination’ takes Lanza’s R&B-influenced House sound and expands into suggestions of Disco and Electro. Working with a host of producers, including Tensnake, Jacques Greene, and Pearson Sound, tracks like ‘Midnight Ontario’ expand on the enticing, slow-burn beat-driven sound Lanza has already established. Elsewhere, ‘I Hate Myself’ draws on Ambient Techno, while ‘Don’t Cry On My Pillow’ explodes an 80s Pop Ballad into something altogether more modern giving it an uncanny, nostalgic quality that makes it even harder to resist. Decidedly not a Pop record, ‘Love Hallucination’ is nonetheless irresistibly catchy and delighting in equal measure.
