That Feels Good Jessie Ware

The fifth album from Jessie Ware follows on from previous LP ‘What’s Your Pleasure?’ with a master-class in vintage Disco vibes, this time channelling New York in place of the Italo-Disco of that previous release. The result is an album that grooves in celebration at every turn. While tracks like ‘Hello Love’ take a slower approach it’s the upbeat numbers that steal the show. ‘Beautiful People’ delivers a Funk groove and Disco percussion in lockstep with Ware’s triumphant vocal. The perfect Disco Diva vocalist, ‘That Feels Good’ is at its finest in the details, like when ‘Free Yourself’ flips out of Disco into an early House breakdown before rounding on a final chorus with accompanied group chant backing vocals. Her finest outing yet, ‘That Feels Good’ is an album filled with supple grooves and life affirming vocals that shouldn’t be missed.
