This Is What We Do Leftfield

Album number four from the ‘90s crossover rave stars finds Neil Barnes moving on from significant life changes in fine fashion as he drops a building set that recalls the mood of albums past while dealing in contemporary sounds. Pulling in Grian Chatten of Fontaines DC for a sharp Electro blast bridges the gap between the classic Leftism sounds of old and modern festival stomper while ‘Making A Difference’ features the familiar voice of Lemn Sissay on a brighter take on the Leftism classic ‘21st Century Poem’. The second half of ‘This Is What We Do’ is where things really let loose with the trio of ‘Rapture 16’, ‘Heart and Soul’ and ‘Accumulator’ going deeper, heavier, and more fitting with the infamous ear-shattering volume of a Leftfield live show. An exhilarating suite, ‘This Is What We Do’ is Leftfield; loud and proud.
