Run Around The Sun Sacred Paws

Having won a Scottish Album of the Year Award for their debut,‘ Strike a Match, Sacred Paws return with a joyful follow up of poised Indie. Amiable and conversational lyrics play off sprightly rhythms and inviting melodies with a focus on crisp guitar hooks. On the surprisingly wistful ‘Life’s Too Short’ horns and quick-paced snare weave around glassy guitar.

‘Write This Down’ is more in the moment as horns and guitar spar, mirroring the call and response vocals. There’s much to capture the ear of casual listeners, but the depth of ‘Run Around The Sun’ will greatly reward closer listening.
