Where I’m Meant To Be Ezra Collective

The latest from Ezra Collective is a vibrant mesh of Jazz, Afrobeat, Soul, and Hip Hop that expands on the group’s maturing vision. Featuring guest vocal spots by an illustrious list of top performers including Sampa the Great, Kojey Radical, Emeli Sandé, and Nao, the album bristles with energy throughout. Beginning with ‘Life Goes On’ and ‘No Confusion’, the early tracks are confident and bold, while as the album progresses the live improvisational skills of the band begin to show more as extended instrumentals take the fore with the same bold confidence as the more song focused early tracks. Expertly paced, each track takes a step deeper into Ezra Collective’s enticing Jazz Fusion sound while retaining a natural flow generally only ever found on stage. Perfectly translating their live performance to record, there’s no doubting this is where Ezra Collective are meant to be.
