Luz/Quest for Fire Axel Boman

While Axel Boman has steadily released EPs and single tracks over the last ten years, his full-length output has been limited. While much of his time has been spent building the impressive Studio Barnhus label, we’re thrilled to find him back with not one but two long-players. Both ‘Quest For Fire’ and ‘Luz’ play with similar themes and moods and are joined with artwork and text in the physical release to create a carefully crafted artistic package. Musically, we are treated to the full range of Boman’s sound with straight to the dance floor tracks nestled up to late night radio workouts with more ambient passages mixed throughout. Drawing on a host of collaborators and love instrumentation, Boman has crafted a dense package of soulful Deep House that, thanks to his deft injection of emotion, consistently feels accessible and engaging while successfully transporting the listener to far off lands.
