Once Twice Melody Beach House

Album number eight finds Beach House taking charge of production duties for the first time on an expansive collection stretching to eighteen tracks. Featuring live string arrangements for the first time, ‘Once Twice Melody’ is vastly in keeping with their established sound but pushes out into new instrumentation, a broader mix of styles and towards more distant horizons at every turn. The result is a voluminous collection that sweeps rather than floats, retaining energy and momentum while, with a deft touch, never risking becoming indulgent or overwhelming.
