Three Dimensions Deep Amber Mark

Following a pair of well received EPs, Amber Mark’s debut is finally here. A concept album in three parts, ‘Three Dimensions Deep’ documents Mark’s emotive journey of self exploration, discovery, and assurance. Brimming with Mark’s rich R&B vocals that remain open and personable even in their technicality, the album leans on strong basslines and stripped percussion for its heartbeat. Throughout there’s an underlying streak of Funk that appears in a bassline here, and bridge there. It’s most prominent appearance is the Prince-like guitar outro on ‘What It Is’, and these fleeting moments add an untethered energy to ‘Three Dimensions Deep’ that, by bubbling under the surface, adds tension to an already emotive mix.
