30 Adele

Showcasing the pain and struggle that went into its making from the opening, ‘30’ tackles heartbreak, anxiety, motherhood, and ultimately, hope on what may be Adele’s most emotive album yet. Featuring voice note conversations recorded with her young son, Adele presents an unflinchingly open lyricism wrought raw with her bold, weighty vocals. ‘My Little Love’, addressing Adele’s love for her son and cut through with clips of their conversation, floats and swells with string backing and a warm rhythmic groove. Adele’s vocal lead resonates with warmth and hope, in spite of the worry in the lyrics. It’s one of many affecting tracks created with a small team of producers, including Inflo from SAULT. Taking strength from the music making process, Adele’s reflections throughout ‘30’ are boldly delivered as she continues her life journey.
