Case Study: How Open Ear developed a sound for Toca Social.

Our fantastic new client Toca Social combines an interactive football and dining experience like no other! Boasting seventeen immersive pitches, along with arcade games, foosball tables and selfie booths - you’re sure to be thoroughly entertained. They have already opened a secondary site in Birmingham alongside their space in the O2 arena London. We are excited to have partnered with them for their music and look forward to seeing them grow in the future.

Toca Social approached us looking for a partner who recognised the importance of music within a sensory experience. They wanted their music to be part of the foreground within the space and be a prominent element to immersion.

Our curator Pasha headed the development of their sound and aimed to reflect the brand’s ‘confidently cool’ and inclusive personality, with a sound that is credible and well-curated but fun and accessible to all. To help position Toca Social as a culturally relevant, forward thinking and progressive brand, we feature fresh new artists and releases that will appeal to a music savvy Millennial and Gen-Z audience.

From current chart hits, to the hottest tunes across R&B, Garage & Hip Hop, interspersed with gems from the past, edits, remixes and covers of classic tracks, ensuring we combine a sense of discovery with familiarity. We only use music that is full of positive energy and personality, as we look to add an extra layer to the sensory experience and enhance the Toca Social experience.
