Vermonische Melodien M.Rux

Created using synthesisers and drum machines built by the now defunct brand Vermona, which operated from East Germany until the early 1990s, ‘Vermonische Melodien’ is an unusual album of Electronica influenced by Kosmische, Balearica, and the loungey sounds of ‘60s Exotica. Broadly instrumental, the album features vocoder skewed vocals created using the world’s oldest speech synthesising tech, first imagined by Bell Labs in 1962. For an album with such particular technological constraints, the result is notably organic and endearing. Carrying a vintage vibe and a modern compositional heart, the sound is both unique to the characteristics of how it was made and yet so effortless the listener may never know. Do not miss it.
