Spinning together Funk and Psych Rock into Thai Disco influenced jams, ‘The Rabbit That Hunts The Tiger’ is an album with a lot going on. That it comes together as an organic, free-flowing and laid-back album is credit to its creators. While tracks like ‘Suì Yè’ bring classic Disco stomp, others like ‘Dis Kô Dis Kô’ bring a brighter, more worldly and contemporary jump to their rhythms. Elsewhere there’s extended guitar riffing on tracks like ‘Alpaca Mountain’ while ‘One Inch Punch’ marries the guitar jam to a Disco beat and supplements it with a sampled Bruce Lee voice over. It captures the overall vibe with precision, and its one not to be missed.
