Shiny New Model BODEGA

Whizzing through its seven tracks, ‘Shiny New Model’ is a blast of rhythmic Post-Punk that draws influence from 90s Sub Pop Records and New York No Wave. BODEGA don’t skimp on songwriting chops, as narrative vocals, melody and immediate choruses are littered throughout. On ‘Knife On The Platter’ slow rubbery bass and shards of guitar recall The Skids, while elsewhere there are hints at Fugazi and more contemporary Post-Hardcore like Fucked Up. It’s a cohesive bundle of influences that ensures ‘Shiny New Model’ is a refined take on an elusively difficult sound to master.
