Now on album number six, Metronomy continue to sound like they’re having as much fun as ever. Filled with colour and texture, ‘Metronomy Forever’ is a grooving slice of Electro. Switching from bubbling bass to fuzzed up chord stabs to shimmering Sci-Fi synth the Disco blast ‘Insecurity’ is an early highlight. The following track, ‘Salted Caramel Ice Cream’ is superbly fun with a perfectly simple chorus that easily gets stuck in the memory. The Indie Pop hooks do abate for some grooving instrumental jams that, while less immediate, still grasp the attention. The overall vibe, however, is bright and crisp. This one is an Electro Pop gem.
