After we discussed the Silent Disco for science held in Manchester over the weekend we promised another MOSI story this week and here it is. You can help science by playing a game that tests your ability to identify tracks. Sounds simple, right? The test will hopefully show how different parts of songs are more recognisable than others, while also testing the speed of recall. It’s broken into decades, so there’s something for everyone – though it should be noted it focuses on Pop Hits as the creators reckon these are the most recognisable for the majority of people. Fair enough, we say.

Our only complaint; if you get a track with looping beats and plenty of repetition it’s kind of tough to come in on time if the algorithm picks a different part of the song. We swear David Bowie’s ‘Let’s Dance’ is out to get us!

Help science and play along here.
