Here at Open Ear we really believe that music can have a life-affirming impact on listeners. Testing this premise out lately was Richard Clayderman, a French pianist, who has been playing ballads for a pair of Galapagos tortoises. Since today is Valentine’s day you can no doubt guess the intentions of Monsieur Clayderman’s recitals were to encourage a little ‘romance’ between the London Zoo pair.
